I grab the worst 80's and 90's drek and run them thru a local auction.  Non comic book hoarders think all comics are valuable and I do better than bulking out.

Yes.  I have made an occasional killing( $230 for a lot I thought would sell around $35), and taken a few hits( $15 for something I thought would bring triple).

Easy way to move books but not a great profit source.

Never tried myself, but antique dealers and junkers will buy what anything they've heard of, so junky TV Dells, photo cover Westerns, and low grade Disney works very well in that environment.  Locally, it seems like those guys will go up to $50 to take a flyer on a stack of books, so it's better to sell two short boxes than one long box.
