Agreed -- Your FF #49 and FF #50 might be among the nicest ones I've seen of the pence issues! I know Tghutcn here has a very nice FF #49 UKPV, too, as well as SS #15 UKPV. I wonder what a 9.8 SS#1 would fetch nowadays, but also a 9.6 and 9.4 as they have only double-digit census (do they generally go for a pre-determined fraction of 9.8 value, and can we expect that--or whatever the appropriate ratio is--to hold if a 9.8 goes ballistic?). Has any one given that some thought already? There are only 9 blue SS#1s in 9.8. With the 9.8 FF#48 and a 9.8 SS#4 (and even the 9.8 MS#5) sales earlier this year, it just feels like a 9.8 SS#1 offering is around the corner. Luckily, I acquired it "out of turn" a few years ago, before completing my early SA keys. I still recommend sticking with a plan, for sanity, but this is an example of when going with my gut made more cents.
