Welcome to my collection!:foryou:

I liked the Man-Wolf issues.  Anyone think that John Romita was tasked to ink Ross Andru's first pencils on the series to aid in the transition?  I mean Ross's work is very distinct, but compared to the artists proceeding him, John Romita would be the closest match, IMHO.

I do agree with @Get Marwood & I that John did tend to Romitacize Ross's work some, but because I love Romita so much as well, I don't complain.

Yes. A bit like Elvis Costello covering a Squeeze song. Forgivable.

Um, good analogy, I guess, lol.

Thanks Steve, now I'll be humming Alison all day.

Could have been worse Reggie. I could've gone for Kool and The Gang.

I actually saw them in a concert back in 1985 or so, with the Mary Jane girls (how about that for getting back to topic).

Amazing what you can find on the internet.

So, nearly 36 years ago today.

Awesome Book!  Love that issue, thought the Night Crawler and Spider-Man made a good team.  Mike Esposito said this issue may have been his best work on the run, which I have to agree with him.

One of my favorites, loved the story and interior art too.

And talking of Kool, here's a surprisingly nice copy of the fairly hard to come by 'Marvel Collection' which is a compendium of remaindered UK reprint titles:

A familiar Andru cover inside:

And because a standard US issue was split across the weekly UK issues, we sometimes get a new splash page...

...before the Andru pencilled story resumed:

I wonder if any kids ever spotted the marked difference in art quality?

I bought many of the UK weeklies back in the day, and I'm not sure I can recall ever being puzzled...
