I didn’t see those two above or I might have upgraded.

You definitely should have jumped on that FF 211 especially since it was a CGC 9.2 graded Bethlehem pedigree copy that sold for only $5,711 which is a bargain compared to the lower graded CGC 9.0 copy that CGC sold for a whopping $19,800 a few short months earlier.  :whatthe:  :takeit:

I recognize 3 of those. Great set Rick. Don't file sexual harassment against me for the previous sentence.

Very pretty set Rick. I love books in that 7.0-8.0 range. Very sharp and present very well for a decent price. Congrats on the run!

I just got bit by the Frazetta bug after Point Five put up a #214 for sale. After staring at it all night and reading about the significance of this Frazetta run, I had to pull the pin. I'm looking forward to chasing them for awhile.

You can thank me when you end up selling your furniture to complete the run.

(That reminds me, anyone wanna buy a sectional couch? Pretty sure it can ship Media Mail.)

I guess we will get a much better idea of where the Frazetta Famous Funnies market is after tomorrow's Heritage Sunday auction with lower graded copies of both FF 211 and FF 215, along with this mid-grade beauty here:  :luhv:

https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/famous-funnies-209-eastern-color-1953-cgc-fn-60-off-white-to-white-pages/a/122232-13317.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

Golden Age (1938-1955):Science Fiction, Famous Funnies #209 (Eastern Color, 1953) CGC FN 6.0 Off-white to white pages....

Based upon the current bidding action with this copy here at only $780 with the Heritage BP juice included, I imagine it won't finished close to the $12K and $9K which the equivalent graded CGC 6.0 copies of FF 213 and FF 215 were able to fetch the previous two Sundays.  Especially since both of those copies were already sitting in the thousands at this same point in time, as I imagine the CGC labels inscribed with "From The Estate of Frank Frazetta" was a driving force with those two copies there.

We all like Frazetta, but let's pump the brakes a bit.  Are you seriously wondering whether a FF209 in 6.0 could  "finish close" to what the 6.0s of the 213 and 215 recently fetched ($12K, $9K), even assuming the 213/215 results weren't outliers for whatever reason?  Why would it, if I may ask?  An 8.0 FF209 fetched only $2611 just last month, which followed the $2950 the Twin Cities 8.0 fetched in March, both pretty down from early 2021 for a regular 8.0 ($3241).   (shrug)  I don't recall any additional reports of relevant sales.

Unrelately, does anyone know why there's only one comic entirely drawn by Frazetta (Thunda 1)?  Perhaps it just turned out that way (bummer!).  But I wonder if it was a conscious decision by Frazetta, if he ever discussed it?
