I was the second bidder and won with a last-second, $16.27 bid. Shipping was $16.25, so total cost with tax was $34.31. 73 total books spread between a few complete and incomplete runs - average cost was 47 cents per book. Most of these runs aren't high-value, but there's enough there to cover my cost and let me keep what I want if I choose (which is mostly the last image at the bottom). What’s the story I actually bought it in a gaming store that had a box of junk comic fanzines/magazines in a box (with an issue of Dog magazine and a copy of the 2001 Guinness Book of World Records). There were 30 of them and the Foom 10, so it was a buck (or less). I think a customer was just getting rid of stuff and the store took it to sell for him and they just priced the entire box at $30. It was under a bunch of Comic Book Artist magazines in the box and just before the Dog magazine. I only bought the box for the fanzines, so it was a pleasant surprise when I unloaded the contents and found it after I took it out to my car. If you like fantasy-type stories, there are some great artists in the magazine. The boardies in the magazine thread know that title much better than I do. This shop didn't really have a dollar box, but it was called a "deadbeat box" where people's comics ended up if they hadn't picked them up in several months. Turns out, a lady had requested to get SIKTC starting at issue #2 and they got her a fourth print #1 and continued getting them until issue #20 and she never picked them up.
