I mentioned this is in the MHU thread, but I don’t recall any of his books getting really hot in the last 10 years. Multiple movies never moved the needle for Secret Service, IIRC. I liked it ok but just because it's the type of show I like: 'mature' super-hero genre. It certainly wasn't good. The season ended on a huge cliffhanger. I can see them fixing a lot of the problems in the second season. Having your showrunner leave mid show I'm sure also didn't help at all. The bar has been set pretty high by recent MCU shows, but it destroys anything DC has done show wise. Overall I liked it. the authority Posted May 13, 2021 Share Posted May 13, 2021 Just finished episode 1 and enjoyed it. Was it perfect ? No but I’m not looking for flaws. Watched it with my wife and one of my sons and they liked it too. All of these years later, still love the comic series. One of the greatest twist of all time IMO. For some reason Millar is poison for speculation. That may change, but if it hasn't by now I doubt it will when he finally makes his little American Jesus movie.
