No...it's more the fact that the books with glare showing in the scan are in the new inner holders....check the scans...you'll see the holders are constructed and sealed differently.

893scratchchin-thumb.gif That glare off the inner holder is a bit of a problem, isn't it........not sure how you would fix that at their end......curved end of the holder is reflecting light back.

Seems like some scanners deal with it better than others. I never had a problem with glare caused by the inner holder with my old HP or Epson scanner, but have had huge problems with the Kodak scanner here at work which seems to pick up every ripple in the inner holder, resulting in scans with big curved glare lines running across the face of the comic.
