Didn’t the same thing happen with coins a while back? And a familiar name, Jim Halperin (current co-chairman of Heritage) was one of the parties involved, being targeted by the government for alteration and grading manipulation, getting into serious legal troubles (including paying a million dollar fine, IIRC).
Halperin was profiled in Forbes magazine back in 2004, his illicit activities going back to a mail fraud business started when he was just 14 years old.
