When Paul Feig remade Ghostbusters, it could have been with the Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and the rest and a spiritual continuation of the story as we are seeing with Finn's character or whoever being the grandson of Egon. I remember when they signed RDJ & I thought he was a great potential fit for the character. The big gamble was could RDJ stay clean & get his life back together. He did & he took the role fully on. I always have liked the Iron Man comic. But for me, Stark became a more interesting character to read during the Michelinie run(s). I've liked Reed a little more hit-and-miss over the years. He's had some great moments, but I'm not sure how 'likeable' he's been? At least Tony was a very fun (and funny) character at times, in addition to the smarts/superhero/business stuff. Captain Marvel is nobody's replacement. She's her own thing. She will however be splitting Avengers leadership duties with Sam Wilson very soon though. Our universe will need it against Kang et al.
