APDallas
I like to collect the 1st appearances of characters that appear on the cover. So the question is do you consider cover 1st appearances almost as important as actual 1st appearances? Like FF #49 features cover 1st appearance of SILVER SURFER and GALACTUS Hulk 181 cover 1st appearance of Wolverine Amazing Spider-Man #51 cover 1st appearance of King Pin etc. etc.
theCapraAegagrus
I don't.
revat
nothing wrong with asking the question, but it seems like a more of a real discussion topic or poll, rather than a "I'm new here, can I get some help or learn something?" kinda question. I think you'd get better traction and more responses in "General Discussion" theCapraAegagrus
marvelmaniac
Thee are a "Bazillion" first appearances of "common/popular characters" on covers, not all, but most are the issue featuring the first appearance of the character, IMO the cover sells the book. Just in early F.F. issues... 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 11, 15, 18, 19, 20, 30, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 52, 56, 62, 64, 65, 67, etc.
Robert Doggett
To add to marvel maniac's post, it doesn't even have to be a character. Issue 3 has the FF in uniform for the first time and the Fantasicar makes its grand entrance. Infinity gauntlet and stone's first appearances have made those books pricier as well just to name a couple of examples.
