Pretty sure this happened for both Infinity War and Endgame. I thought that it was discussed here. Could have been on other social media.

Again, you missed the point. PANDEMIC MOVIES!

This isn't the first time that such a thing has happened, though, so it's not a pandemic-exclusive thing. You missed my point. :makepoint:

:roflmao:

There was no worldwide pandemic in 2018/2019 keeping people from attending theaters. Come on. You didn't read the question. Admit it.

According to Box Office Pro, Spider-Man: No Way Home is estimated to earn between $190-250 million domestically in its opening weekend. Even the low end of those projections would be the highest debut ever for a Spider-Man movie, easily topping Spider-Man 3's $151.1 million from 2007. As a comparison, Spider-Man: Homecoming opened to $117 million, and Spider-Man: Far From Home grossed $92.5 million in its opening weekend.

Since the start of the pandemic, no movie has grossed $100 million domestically in its opening weekend. The closest was October's Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which earned $90 million in its first three days. So if Spider-Man: No Way Home hits anywhere within this range, it will be an impressive feat.

Would not be shocked

Seems like the only thing that will stop this from being a $1 billion film is Covid or  unexpected low ratings with bad word of mouth.

I will go on record saying this is the movie that  could save the theater business.

So for those of us a little confused - is this the 'Sinister Six' or are they still going to be in another later movie?

This is more multi-verse introduction yeah?

Thanks

Very much NOT the Sinister Six... My understanding is that Sony wants to stress that there are just FIVE villains in this film and that there is no math that gets them to a  "Sinister Six".... so they can reserve that name for a future iteration based on some of the solo villain movies they have in production/development, such as Morbius, Kraven and even now Rhino (in addition to villains already introduced like Vulture, Scorpion (teased) and the ones used in NWH).  So whether or not there will ever be such a movie? Who knows.. but they want to keep the door open.
