I do not see why there is not a harder push for best director for this movie.  The way the flight sequences were shot, and the new technology used is truly groundbreaking.  That they were able to do so much of this film practically, and the on screen benefits from that, deserve recognition.

Didn't he give all his golden globes awards back last year because of some scandel/diversity thing at the Golden Globe orginization?  They could have snubbed him because they are still butt hurt.
