Unfortunately, we are not able to create a set for blank sketch covers as the styles will vary significantly and assigning point values would be impossible. These would look great as a competitive set but would need to be placed in a custom set.

Hi Matt,

I see there is a set for Marvel Copper Age First Appearances, but no other era (And sets for #1 issues only).  Could sets be made for first appearances in each marvel era?  So:

1. Marvel Silver Age First Appearances
2. Marvel Bronze Age First Appearances
3. Marvel Modern Age First Appearances

 

Also any chance they could be created for DC as well?  All I see are for DC first issues form the different eras.  So a set for each DC era:

1. DC Golden Age First Appearances
2. DC Silver Age First Appearances
3. DC Bronze Age First Appearances
4. DC Copper Age First Appearances
5. DC Modern Age First Appearances

 

If these sets could be created that would be great.  If you need any details or help I am more than happy to chime in on it.

Hi @Andy L my apologies for the delayed response as I requested feedback from our graders and previous registry team. Since we already have a few of these set types in existence we will honor your request. Please note that building sets that are not a run of a series are very time consuming so this will be done in sections. I will continue to honor other member requests as I complete this request so I will be back and forth. 

Please feel free to email me with your desired books per set but note that the lists do not include set parameters we will have some gray area when others add their requests. I suggest making it "Key" first appearances and "Key" #1 issues per age but even then we will have gray area but smaller lists that are easier to fulfill.

Hi Matt.  Thank you for building the Swamp Thing Giant set.  I’m sorry to be a pain in the butt, but CGC has graded vol. 2 #1 Direct Market edition (see attached).  Someone made an easy mistake when grading this comic.  It is NOT a variant of the Greg Capullo vol. 1 #1.  Both vol. 1 and vol. 2 #1 came out in the year 2019 but in different months and with different content.  I’ve been begging CGC to put the months the issues came out and the volume # on the labels when you grade them because I just sent in a couple on Friday.  Is there any way you can help me petition the graders to fix this in your system?  Thank you.

Dungeons & Dragons: Shadows of The Vampire Cert# 2079793011. Can you please provide more information. The 2016 series containing 5 books is not titled as "Shadows of the Vampire." It is only listed as D&D #5. "

 

 

1) Forgotten Realms: The Legend of Drizzt, cert 2079667006 - Is a comic not a paperback book, it was graded as a comic and there is a limited set of the comics. Unless I'm missing something the trade paperback was in fact a paperback book compilation of the comics? I'll include a scan copy of one from this set that I had graded. I've had several of them graded too as modern comics. It also has many versions, I'll include the pic of one of the incentive issues. Set Created. 

2) Dungeons & Dragons: Shadows of The Vampire cert# 2079793011, are listed on the case as just D&D but it was in fact a limited series with many variations including incentive versions and subscription too. I sent quite a few in for grading and all of the cases just say Dungeons & Dragons which is misleading. I'll attach a couple of pics to show it's actually a set and a link to IDW's page about the set.. -PM Sent

Hi Matt.  I cannot find the Swamp Thing 100 page Giant set that you had created.  It does not appear in any search of the registry, or when you search the S's.  Also the census is still incorrect for volume 2.  I'm trying to email someone in customer service to correct this.  Vol. 2 #2 just showed up on eBay today graded by CGC and the label is incorrect.  The year and cover artist listed on it are wrong.  Also CGC is not putting vol. 2 on the label which makes things even more confusing.  Thanks for your help.  I'm going to send in all of the issues in vol. 1 next month and I'll see what happens with the labeling.  I sent in vol. 2 #3 last week as well.

Regarding the volume issue, our team typically follows the Indicia so if it does not list as v2 we would not notate it either.
