I’m struggling guys lol. I kinda want to get rid of them all, minus the #44 since I got the 6.5. Think I might let go of everything I have below a 6.5. So that would include a couple others I have. What should I do???!!! Was sooo tough to even come by some of these!

My first reaction is “PM me with prices”, particularly the 21… a nicely presenting copy with popped staples is right in my wheelhouse.

My slightly more serious response is “hold until you find upgrades, given how scarce some of them are.” THEN pm me with prices!

These are reactions I can get behind 🔥

Figure out what you want, ditch the rest, then be patient.  You're not going to complete the run in HG any time soon, so enjoy the ride.

Oh yeah, that ain’t happening lol. High grade copies don’t exist with most of the Captain Comet run. I’m content with mid to high mid grade on those.

Unfortunately the latter portion of the run hits right where DCs are the hardest to find in decent shape.

I am trying to collect the AUSTRALIAN versions of STRANGE ADVENTURES printed by Colour Comics, Sydney,  starting in 1954 with an 8d or 9d (8 pence - 9 pence) price.

I have one CGC issue, Australian No. 1 CGC 8.5 (US equivalent #44) and I am planning to get graded more latter this year.

Note: Not all Australian issues have a US equivalent, although most do.

An awesome quest, for sure!  I'll enjoy seeing your progress.  (thumbsu  (worship)

I imagine they all have a U.S. equivalent, although that "original" may be from another DC fantasy/sci-fi title:

Thanks for the information about other US equivalents. I have noted this in my own database.

I have 20  (not all in top condition) of the 43 Australian issues. The price increased to 1/- (1 shilling) from #23.  My quest continues!

I have added more images here

Found this interesting and had to post. Couldn’t help but notice there’s been an influx of #205’s being bought the last few months maybe, and some of the nicer copies sitting on the Bay for a while were snatched up in the last month. Wonder if that’s due to James Gunn’s Swamp Thing announcement in part, likely going in that Justice League Dark direction. But I think some were purchased pre that announcement. Also to be fair, a Deadman and JLD movie were previously in development as I recall, but that was under the old DCEU of course, so no guarantees what James will head to, beyond what he’s already announced. Anyway, will be interesting to see if that persists.

Well, it’s been fun folks, but I decided it’s time to move on from this series. Holding onto my Deadman set, and issues #2, #12 and #20, but saying goodbye to the rest of my run! So going to be a bunch of pretty nice early Strange Adventures hitting the next Comiclink featured auction in May, and a lot of lower grade in the March focused. Honestly no clue how they’ll do, but should be interesting. I will say, this is the only run I’ve ever worked to collect for a long time. So it’s been fun to say the least!

#16 and #46 are two of my favorites. Would have a hard time passing on those two…

Gold luck in your auctions!

I had a hard time letting go of them all 😅. But yeah, just ready to put whatever I get into something else.
