Mully79
Did you account for the defects being light? FYI this is a completely hypothetical scenario.

So then you didn't submit a book to CGC and this is all, what? Just made up?
Mully79
Nope. The part about there being two of each defect is hypothetical.

Yes: 3.5 If CGC gave you anything higher than that, you obviously got a 'gift grade'.

Mully79
I provided the actual grader notes. So we can concede that either the graders notes are accurate, and depict what the CGC gods saw to the letter. Conversely, we can concede the graders notes are worthless, and they raise significant credibility issues with this company. Which shall it be? Mully79
I would argue that the notes are deliberately vague. Because CGC does not want to held liable for their employees incompetence.

Looking at pictures want change what the grader noted, after all CGC graders are the experts right? They have a published grading scale that can be compared with the notes. But let’s be honest, the real reason is you are all scared to guess because you don’t want to be embarrassed. You want me to spoon feed you every detail, so you can then tell me why I’m wrong and they are right. No thanks. Nobody is scared, bro. You can't grade to CGC's standards. Very few of us could until we took the time to learn and study. When one has achieved a certain level of expertise there are only very subtle grade differences that will be applicable (unless something is completely missed - which I have done many times, usually water tide lines or staining). So, you can continue to come off as a smug, caustic thumbsucker throwing his toys out of the pram, or you can learn how to grade. I'm pretty sure how it will turn out. Enjoy the toy throwing. But the fact you wont means one of two things... 1. This is a flame post from an IG conspiracy theorist who thinks CGC is this mythical world ending monopoly. 2. You realized somewhere along this train wreck of a "I'll get mine" post that CGC is probably accurate with their grade. Like they are with the tens of thousands of books they grade annually. Pretty sure #2 is the one. I'd bet your hypothetical 3.5 on it.
