Sounds like someone needs a nap. :whatev:

If I need a nap for being against market manipulation by lying :censored:, what do you need for being in favor of it? Maybe a lobotomy?

And of course I sold my direct 9.8 for $1800 3 months ago. How the hell did the prices go up so high! 🤬

I would have bought that at that price....  :baiting:

When there are thousands of books from the past 10 years that are selling for $300+ (up to $20,000+) that contain the first appearance of speculation characters (who have done absolutely nothing, and probably will never be big characters), or no first appearances at all, just a "rare" cover on an otherwise worthless book, the price of one of the still-less-than-1,500 CGC 9.8 copies of the actual first full appearance of Venom from 32 years ago might look like a bargain anywhere near $3,000.

No doubt. With the price escalation of Moderns this year, some of these Copper keys suddenly don't look so expensive.

Fallen off my radar now quite some time ago now but how long has the supply side been so thin on ASM 300 9.8 slabs? Years ago there would be as many as ten of these up at any point in time on eBay. I remember like yesterday winning with my hammer bid on an ASM 300 9.8 SS TM for $625ish.

Was that in 2011?  GPA doesn't show a 9.8 SS TM ASM 300 below $927 ever... except one time in 2011.

Remember when buying these at 500 seemed like too much.

GPA on these is all over the place.  A 9.8 universal sold for $324 in 2010, but a 9.8 universal sold for $1,725 in 2006.  Every other sale (hundreds of them) between 2006 and 2010 was somewhere between $324 and $1,725 with no apparent pattern of growth or decline.

Well now it looks like you can buy an entire run of ASM from 150-838, all CGC 9.8s. Cost you more than $500 though... :whatthe:

That one has been available since August 2019... with a few updates along the way.

This book is hitting your estimate for the ceiling you made 4 months ago....you think FMV might eventually be 10k?

I don't remember estimating anything, but I did point out that the $4,500 for the newsstand 9.8 happened while the 9.8 direct went unsold for $2,700.
