I think that's why i have been seeking so many out. With CGC still planning to slab pulps in the near future, I think we are in a moment before the 'boom'. Sure there are many already in the stratosphere, decided by the faithful who have kept the market alive , there are many sleepers in my opinion with killer cover content -something comic collectors appreciate, and classic stories and authors (though unlike comics which i read, i am strictly a pulp collector for the cover art, which i absolutely love).

I have “accumulated” great pulp covers for over 20 years. I rarely seek out many but they have always been things I grabbed when I had the opportunity. I have read a number of the shudder pulps but mostly collected covers. Always have been up to the past few years, VERY affordable compared to comics.

I have slowed down quite a bit due to prices and the fact that they are so thick they take up a lot more boxes. I have simply run out of space. So if I buy more, I have to sell some.

Same with paperbacks and Big Little Books. Comics are and have always been my first love…

Yes, you have displayed many a great pulp cover here RM that i have admired over the years before jumping in: The Fantastic Adventures with the woman trapped in the giant dogs jaws, The 'Babies for Sale' Green Lama cover, and the Canadian Uncanny Tales to name a few (worship)

And the few i have already have almost filled the space i set aside to store them because they are thick, which means i will have to cap it soon as comics are still my first love as well

I’m new to pulps and just won this book off the Heritage pulp auction. I bought it only for its advertising for Marvel Comics 1, but got an unexpected surprise

Congratulations, it's an awesome book!

I just looked up what I paid for my copy:  $75 in 2018.  The pulp market has just exploded the last few years!

This arrived today…

Fantastic Story Magazine

Fall, 1954

Classic Robot 🤖 cover by Jack Coggins

This pulp was used as a movie prop in Back to the Future as it was laying next to George McFly as he was asleep.

Here’s the clip:

I saw this and thought of the Sports Almanac in the second film.  It seems to be just a prop and not an actual publication like this Fantastic.
