"Kid Galahad" (appearing here as "The Good Knight"). I always found this cover a tad ambiguous. Maxwell Grant is not Walter Gibson here, btw, just the S&S house name. At any rate, a very rare pulp in incredibly beautiful condition, with a bone white cover. Looking amazing for the age
Popular Post Xaltotun
Slowly rounding up the list of the Howard sports pulp, here is the first issue (of three), of the very short-lived Jack Dempsey's Fight Magazine, published in 1934. This first issue is quite uncommon. FoggyNelson, Sarg, OtherEric and 3 others
Popular Post Xaltotun
The second of the Jack Dempsey's. If the first one is uncommon, the second one is way more uncommon. Also, this is a very ratty copy, one of the very few I need to upgrade. Last: it is a Canadian variant (note the "July" date rather than June"). Never seen another one. Popular Post Xaltotun
Third and last Jack Dempsey's Fight Magazine, which folded with this issue. If 1 and 2 are tough to come by, 3 is even harder. I snatched this copy quite a number of years ago and will have a hard time upgrading. Xaltotun
The next-to-last entry in my sports pulps featuring Howard. RedFury showed his copy in the first page of this thread, but here is mine. As he said, a tough to get copy of Dime Sports, April 1936, with "Iron Jaw" (original title: "Fists of the Desert"). Xaltotun
And here is the last entry of the REH sports pulps, one which few people know of because the REH connection was only discovered a few years ago: a full page biographical letter, which, sadly, was published the very month Howard died. Xaltotun
Here is a nice little series of cool Howard/Lovecraft items. In the course of the Lovecraft/Howard correspondence, they would often share clippings and documents. While all the original letters are now held by the Harry Ransom Center in Austin, what few enclosed documents that survived are not, and those are 5 photos taken by Howard, with his typewritten comments on the back. I obtained those a year ago or so. RedFury and Sarg 1

Xaltotun
Kelly, the "conjer-man" was the basis for a factual article Howard wrote in 1931, which in turn was the basis for his "Black Caaan" (Weird Tales, Jun 1936) Sarg and RedFury

Xaltotun
Technically not a pulp because those were digest-sized, but lots of ultra cool reprints and nice covers. The Avon Fantasy Reader, from 1947 onward. OtherEric
OtherEric
The last issue of Avon Fantasy reader even has the first publication of a story by REH, rather than a reprint: Xaltotun

Popular Post Xaltotun
Cowboy Stories, July 1937, with "Knife-River Prodigal" yet another tough to find REH pulp, let alone in this condition. Strasser pedigree copy (with a tip of the hat to RedFury!) Edited April 25, 2021 by Xaltotun Scrooge, OtherEric, RedFury and 2 others
Xaltotun
Another rarity, The Fantasy Fan, March 1934, with "Gods of the North", aka "The Frost King's Daughter", aka the Conan tale "The Frost Giant's Daughter" with the hero's name changed to Amra. Extremely low print run, maybe 60 copies. OtherEric
