I think it brings a genuine rural flavor to the setting, not to mention the added element of irony.  Also, those scared chickens are a hoot!

Ran into a large pile of these yesterday. Great Schomburg war covers. Ironically just prior to WWII. But a twist… These aren’t Alex Schomburg but the work of his also very talented brother, August.

I post these in honor of all our brave servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to their country. Never forget…

That's very cool.  Was not familiar with his brother's work at all, but it's definitely deserving of coverage here!
