That's all I can scrape from memory DC was tough with the acronym company names, that novel as a teenager was hard to comprehend due to it 

 

There are some cool/interesting Booster storylines as it relates to some Crises, multiverse stuff, etc. I think Booster is a pretty interesting character when done right. Cool book!

While cleaning out an old storage unit I found this. A ashcan of TRANSIT from 1986 by Ted MacKeever. I got this back in the day and forgot I had it. I had to block out his mailing address. He may still live there.

As a Whilce Portacio/Punisher fan I'm embarrassed I've only just added this to my copper age collection yesterday  The copy which I bought off eBay actually had a little writing on the front cover which I was able to remove. See a before photo below also....

Just received this back today. 1 of the 2 copies I purchased as child at one of my early comic shop visits. 2nd book I ever purchased more than one copy.  The other copy will be wintering in Sarasota.

Still shocked at the sharpness of this book.  2021 me thanks a 1984 child me for being so meticulous in purchasing books and enduring the LCS shop owner's "insults" - well more like comments of "just pick one already". Since I was very careful to never do any damage to any of his books I was at least tolerated?

Like all my self-submitted comics this book is NOT pressed. Although that will change as last month I sent 2 submissions that i think the books will benefit from a C&P. So my personal non pressed streak endeth.

Another comic I purchased as a kid was shipped back to me earlier this week from CGC. Thus far as with all my raw submissions it was NOT pressed.

Back then the seance scared the cr@p out of me. Moore sure could write.

Great cover even if the Spectre is wrongly colored blue. As I recall this was the Spectre's first app after Crisis 10. Guess now it's known as the sort of 1st appearance of JLA Dark?

Odd another slab scan that the book appears bowed on the right edge.

In my pre-slabbed scan it looks fine...

I was going to mention that you held out for perfect sigs in 9.8, perhaps with a gold sig and decent placement

Lol I do hold out. Sometimes I bite the bullet and buy a placeholder if I find the right book doesn’t come along quickly enough, but in truth I’ve been fairly lucky on timing the last few times getting books with the right look. 
 

Problem is they don’t come at a discount.
