Is Spider-Men #1 newsstand Edition very hard to find?

I'm just curious about Spider-Men #1 Newsstand Edition being a tough book to find. The only one I have seen is selling for $199. I'm thinking it could be a steal depending on it's rarity. With the Spider verse and Miles Morales coming to the MCU movies.....it may blow up as it is their first meeting. Can anyone chime in and let me know what they think. Thank you guys.

It's a really good newsstand to have, being from 2012 toward the end of the Marvel newsstand system (final Marvel newsstands were December 2013) and having the two Spider-Man cover.

It seems likely that Ultimate Fallout #4 is probably the "biggest newsstand" from that time period, with Ultimate Spider-Man #1 (2011) being the second biggest newsstand.

Spider-Men #1 could possibly end up being third, since it has both Peter and Miles on the cover.

By "selling for", you actually mean "definitely not selling, but is available for a clearly overly-optimistic asking price of", right?

Most newsstands (especially Marvel) from the late 00's and forward are quite tough to find.  Miles stuff has obviously been hotter lately as well. So the likely cost on the open market will be beefy.

For $199 if its a CGC 9.8, I would call it a steal.  If you're talking raw, that seems like a bit of an overpayment now betting that the next Spiderman/ Miles Morales movie will be literally called "Spider-men".  I mean if you believe in an upcoming movie announcement price spike, you're probably better off buying a bulk pile of Spidermen 1 (direct) in NM, as many as you can get for $200.

Edit:  If you want it for yourself and are concerned a movie price spike will put it out of range, i'd attempt to negotiate with the seller

Yes. I think it's a little high.

True. I agree with the spending $200 on a pile of #1's instead. Still a nice book though.

I am curious how many their are out in the wild though. Thank you for your advice.

Agreed. And being the first meeting of them.

I haven't seen one yet and I have been looking. I did have 3 UF4s newsstand sold them for $50 each a few years back thinking I made bank. :tonofbricks:

Ouch! It happens to all of us. At the time we need the money or just invest in something else and hope for the best.

I'm hoping it turns out to be something. Probably should grade it when I have the money.
