  Cool an Upside down Mark Jewelers Insert, I have never seen that before.  any double MJ inserts in that box?

Upside down and inside out.  No, no doubles.  Ove the 1000 I've had, only 1 was a double insert (ASM 108 or something like that).  I messed up and traded it away without realizing it.

I've begun the long process of rebagging & reboarding my collection. Going into my BA/CA Amazing Spider-Man run, I knew I'd have more than a few MJ inserts. As a kid I remember seeing these often in my back issues. Figures. There were 3 military bases within 70 miles of where I grew up.

Anyways, last night I went through about 20 books. Sure enough as I reached issues from the late 70s they started appearing. 5 had the insert. I'm expecting to rediscover many more.

No GPA sales for this bad boy (#337). :acclaim:

I started collecting comics a few years after these came out. It took me a *really* long time to notice how brilliant the cover for 337 was, from a branding perspective. 337 still features the logo that was in use since "THOR" became part of the title logo way back in JiM 104 in 1964. But Beta Ray Bill smashes it apart, entailing the need for a new logo in the following issue. There are plenty of examples of the broken logo over the years (X-Men 135 perhaps being the most famous example), but I can't think of another example where the breaking of the logo rendered it unusable on the following issue.
