Picture of me holding Batman 10 which was the last book I needed to finish the entire run.

I look a bit stoned because my son had just been born so I wasn't getting a lot of sleep.

The painting Al Williamson's holding was my tribute to EC.  I chose Weird Fantasy #15. He illustrated "By George!!" in that issue...

Here's an in-focus image of the issue...

Alas, the nerdy looking geek holding the Secret Agent Corrigan daily would've probably looked better out of focus.

You painted that?

That's incredible!

Note: I don't usually promote my art because I think of myself as a composer of ideas (in a manner of speaking, I'm a jack of various trades)

Wow! Really really cool! I'm glad to hear your still painting and creating! My favorites are "you're next" and the untitled space age piece.

Big thanks! When I say Jack of various trades, I'm not exaggerating (except in respect to talent, which is entirely subjective).

Besides collecting GA comics, my passions include acting, art, auctioneering, athletics and education...

Dave Hester is such a tool. Back a year or so ago (when there were flea markets), he would show up selling the household junk he would get out of storage units. He thought he was some kind of rock star. Selling his Yuuup T-Shirts and mugs. One time he had a smile pile of beater BA comics. I picked them up and asked the price. I was floored when he told me the price and told me how “rare” they were. I looked him in the eye and in a very loud voice told him Nooope! You should have seen his face as he told me to get the f outta there!

Ha Ha I was watching some of those Storage Wars the other night and it so obvious what a complete a** this guy really is from the show. I would never stop by to see him if he was at a flea market as people like this should never be encouraged let alone enriched. My cousin's husband made his living cleaning out houses and selling the junk at flea markets and a certain amount of hutzpah and BSttery comes with the territory. But there's never a need to act like this guy no matter who you may be.

I have never had to sell at flea markets for a living but up to last March, I was doing a couple shows a month. Yeah, it is a bit of an art. Once you got the person with the piece in his or her hand, you don’t want them to put it down.

I like to pride myself on the quality of items I bring out. No junk. The thusly, I ask fair prices and negotiate to a point depending what it is.

I don’t treat people like Hester does. Well, at least most of the time. :roflmao:

I can often convince people to buy it. Sometimes a lot easier than online sales. But there are always “those people”. Man, I even miss “those people” these days...:sorry:
