Sorry to report that Tom King will not be able to join us at Megacon Orlando next month, he joins Sam Humphries and Jason Fabok on the cancellation list (along with Graham Nolan, John Hebert and Leo Leibelman) but we have few additions to the comic guest list of note:

- Ryan Stegman (Friday only) - Ryan will be joining Donny Cates for the newly retitled "Donny and Ryan After Dark" Special Event. 

- Tony Daniel (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - Tony will be joining the DC Creator Catch Up VIP event on Friday. He will be replacing Jason Fabok on the ticket. Tony will be appearing at the TORPEDO COMICS booth on the show floor. 

- Frank Cho (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - Frank will be joining the DC Creator Catch Up Special Event on Friday. He will be replacing Tom King on the ticket. To celebrate this, the ticket will include a copy of the Frank Cho Punchline #1 Variant as a bonus perk. 

- Mike Mayhew will be appearing at the BLACK FLAG COMICS booth throughout the weekend.

- Legendary creator Bob Hall will be joining us all weekend.

James Marsters sends his regrets - he's been called back to production on an upcoming project, and is no longer able to attend the show. Epic Photo Ops will be in touch with options for those that bought a photo op, and if you had tickets to James Marsters Unplugged you'll see a refund processed for that special event ticket.

Letting people here know that on Friday there was a change to the health and safety plan. Due to the current high spread of the delta variant in the area and to meet CDC and Orange County guidelines, face masks are now mandatory for everyone aged 2 and up when inside at Megacon Orlando —- they need to cover the mouth and nose and be two layers (gaiters and face shields alone are not allowed but can be used in conjunction with a proper mask).

No exceptions. If you cannot wear a mask you should not attend and you can contact customer service to arrange for a refund.

on Friday the CDC indicated that even vaccinated individuals can transmit the Delta variant, which is why there are no exemptions based on vaccination status. If you are fully vaccinated you have the best protection available.

Masks can be removed when stationary and eating or drinking, walking around and eating and drinking is discouraged.

The mask policy will be enforced at the show.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for some. I understand some of you will be disappointed but with the current rate this allows the event to continue as planned.

Mirka Andolfo has had to cancel, she was coming from Italy and at this time international travel from Europe is not allowed. She’s extremely disappointed.

Regretfully, Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo are no longer able to attend Megacon Orlando. Anyone who purchased the Death Metal Tour 2020 Package or the Nocterra VIP will be receiving a refund.

Sending their regrets that they can't make it are Dave Johnson and Tim Townsend.

So this has been a fun week.

George Perez, sweet man that he is, sends along his apologies and regrets to the fans who were planning to see him next week. While he is in good health and vaccinated, he must be cautious nevertheless. He promises to come to the event in Spring 2022.

Josh Williamson will also no longer be able to join us.

Looking forward to this weekend. Friday may be my only free day. I am going to bring down a few boxes of graded GA for trade bait if anyone is looking to trade. Will bring a few Silver and Spec books as well.

 

Will we see a floor plan in the next few days?
