Popular Post OtherEric
Not as nice a #33 as the #35 I got a few weeks ago, but still an upgrade from my other copy of #33. Still need to track down #34... Brock, ChrispyC66, bellrules and 4 others

Along with these others that would normally be in the Whitman 3 pack with it. OtherEric
My well-loved copy (which I've had since the 70's and is one of my 30 or so oldest original owner books) has the blank UPC. The GCD doesn't even show the Diamond/UPC variant, I suspect it's significantly rarer but have no solid evidence. Edit, 2 minutes later: a glance at the bay tells me that it's not rarer. (Which I also suspect is what happened with the price error variants Whitman books from 1/81 as pictured) Here’s a handy link to the Marvel diamond issues. https://www.bipcomics.com/showcase/Direct/index.php ganni, Morganmi, ADAMANTIUM and 3 others

Seems there has to have been some sort of alternate printing of those price variants. Also interesting that it makes the case that Whitman was the distributor of the big diamond marvels from 77-79 and that any direct market sales were anecdotal and probably an afterthought. djzombi
They're price errors and not Canadian editions? Interesting!

Canadian price variants (can of worms, I know) didn’t start until 1982 for DC and Marvel. Whitman didn’t start theirs until 1984, where the 60 cent issues were priced at 75 cents. djzombi and OtherEric 1
