1950's war comics
yeah Fight Comics #31 is definitely the most gruesome war comic , for some reason since it was a 1940's comic i wasn't thinking about it when i posted in this thread ... most gruesome war comic ever 1, Fight comics #31 2. G.I. Combat #1 3. ?? 4. ?? FoggyNelson
1950's war comics
Fight Comics #32 while gruesome in nature with severed limbs almost seems too cartoonishly drawn as to minimize the violence FoggyNelson
FoggyNelson
Agree that GI combat number is ultra violent , almost should be x rated fight decapitation cover the worst though😰 1950's war comics

War 11 & Battlefield 6 come to mind also.

Robot Man
I'd also throw these two in. Not necessarily graphic but two that when I first saw them made an impression on me. Edited July 11, 2021 by Robot Man
Popular Post buttock
Agreed entirely on those. Here's a few others to consider. I really like the Two Fisted Tales you included, it gets the psychological aspect of the horror of war. 19 & 22 would be good additions to the list as well. jimjum12, mstrange, Dr. Love and 3 others 5

walclark
I love the expression on the GI's face. It looks like a mixture of exhaustion, resignation, and remorse. comicjack, Jayman and PopKulture

Most guys I've known who have actually seen combat are unable or unwilling to talk about it.
