Stephen Ritter's book will have a very detailed description of the origins of the Windy City collection. I was happy to give Heritage this "lite" version. Last month I sat down for a couple of hours with the fellow who purchased the books from Andy Wallace and who ultimately sold them to me. I hadn't seen him in over 10 years and we had a blast recounting all the details.

 

It was a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. Akin to hitting the lottery.

wot about that super silver age collexn featured in CBM in the early 90's and more recently that 9.8 bronze collection with teh spidey 121, 122 9.8's??

What is this "Heritage Newsletter" you are referring to? I've searched Heritage's website and cannot seem to locate it.

Without going through everything, they were nearly 2,000 # 1's from 1934 (Famous Funnies) through 1964 or so...
