CGC is very excited to announce an exclusive Private Signing event with renowned comic book writer Gerry Duggan. His career in comics began at Image Comics, writing and co-creating the series The Last Christmas and later The Infinite Horizon, which was nominated for an Eisner Award for Best New Series.

Since then, Duggan has worked on top titles such as Hulk, Nova, Hawkeye Vs. Deadpool, Batman: Arkham Manor and much more. In addition, he wrote for Marvel's relaunched Deadpool series and Doctor Strange: The Last Days of Magic. He currently writes for the critically acclaimed Marauders, and has most recently begun writing the highly anticipated, revamped X-Men series. Before writing comics, Duggan worked as a director and photographer in live TV, awards shows, pilots and films.

“Gerry Duggan has written and produced so many iconic titles throughout his career,” said Brittany McManus, CGC Signature Series Director. “We are thrilled to be hosting him for this signing, and we can’t wait to work with him!”

For this exclusive event, ALL CGC members, including free CGC members, can submit books directly to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, July 30, 2021.

If the CGC Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled.

After Gerry Duggan signs the submitted books, CGC will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. If CCS pressing is also requested, the turnaround time is estimated at eight weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

The CGC Private Signing fee for Gerry Duggan is $70 per item and includes:

  • Gerry Duggan’s signature
  • Estimated turnaround time of six weeks for CGC grading
  • Estimated turnaround time of eight weeks for CGC grading and CCS pressing (an additional $20 fee applies for CCS pressing)
  • Encapsulation with the iconic yellow CGC Signature Series label

My Shooter signings, Secret Wars #1 and #8, just hit Grading/Encapsulation, hopefully shipping soon to follow.

Thanks! And hope they go well for you!

It helps to update the thread as the title is kind of long, and I have to go back and delete names 😂 that have happened already. There isn't ever a clear announcement anyway haha other than once in a while via cgc announcement email

There's a tiny chance the signing has already happened as my submission for BS has already moved to "scheduled for grading", but it moved on the signing due date (7/9) so I don't think its accurate. I will update if this status changes to graded with what happened.
