I'd say ease. If it wasn't for you they could shut this place down. You put the forum on your back. You are like Dwayne Johnson. You were born for the cgc forum.

Here is Session 1 of the Nov Comiclink Auction.   Added a comparison to the Sept/Oct CL results as well.    I couldn't even tell you what is happening anymore.....

Someone said it earlier but it does seem like CL is particularly weak these days.    A few books bounced back from their Sep/Oct results but still a lot of stuff trailing Ebay.   Also noticed that the few books I was tracking on Hakes did worse than this CL auction.    Is the return of conventions impacting sales on the auction sites?

Yes,  I'm sure.  Lots of people heading back to conventions recently.

Some brutal results in those tables.

Can you easily run the net for each column? Curious of the results in aggregate.

Total for CL auction was $1.235M with GPA Last Sale total of $1.266M.   Down 2.5%.

Excellent work. Thank you for your service. The amazing spider man 2 4.0 sold for $2,750. I have never struck my kid but if he let that book sell for $750 I really don't know how I would react lol.

I think they are strong. If you want gpa average or better you need collectors. To have dealers or flippers to pay 20% under is impressive. Some of these books you have listed have 5 or 10 copies. Not sure any site other than maybe ebay has enough pure collector traffic to fetch top dollar.

Speaking of rubbish TV adaptations and price tumbles - Y-The Last Man is on track to be the next 'sixth-gun' scale disaster!

Reviews / advance screenings were Sept 12th / 13th

I guess the message is - sometimes its better to stick with the original material!

Or is the message - don't buy into movie or TV related hyped books after they've had a big run-up, because don't virtually all of them (with very very few exceptions) have a sizable and noriceable tumble after they hit the screens. :preach:

Especially if you drop off the one at the start of August that topped the $2K mark because that one there clearly appears to be an outlier to me. hm  (shrug)

Not doing the full recap of CL session 4 - but some observations from that session and the Pedigree auction that ended last night.

Is this and the last auction from CL not just their Focused Auction which is kind of akin to HA Sunday/Monday auction or CC's Monthly Auction, as opposed to the CL Featured Auction which is more in line with HA's Signature or CC's Event Auctions which probably attracts more eyeballs with the deeper pockets who are willing to dig deeper down for their books?  hm  (shrug)

Even in the case of the MCU movies because didn't Marvel Super Heroes 13 also have a similar percentage size drop-off after the release of the Captain Marvel movie, even though the movie managed to do better than first expected?  (shrug)

Thanks for catching.   yes - $2750 so down 13.2% from prior and 15.9% from 90 day.     The adjustment takes the aggregate to -2.4% for this tranche of books vs the -2.5% I communicated yesterday.

Yeah, that one jumped out at me (the $750 "sale").   Nice to know that was an error.  I was about to cry for missing out on that.

Catching up to what?  It's already ahead of almost every other book in the Silver Age.

i believe he may be referring to the fact that prior to this year, hulk 1 barely budged in terms of pricing since the big jump in 2014. gpa is fairly useless on this book as so many sales have occured on comiclink. if you only used gpa, you would still see that in 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, prices appear to still be flat on it. but of course we know there have been temendous jumps in price in 2021.

On the Hulk topic - the CL results were:

4.0 - $28.4k

2.5 - $17.3k

Hakes results last week were

3.0 - $19.7k vs GPA sales of $26.4k on 10/24, $20k on 9/18, and $27.5k on 8/18

2.0 - $13.1 vs GPA sale of $14.4k on 9/19 and $14.3 on 8/1
