Bulk Return Slab Damages/Dings/Scratches/etc.

Reconsider going back to the long shoe method of returning bulk (slabs stacked against one another snug in the long box). The new process of shipping the slabs with the individual cardboard slits provides 0 protection for the slabs and they are dinging each other up on their way back to us. Some of my slabs have blunt force dings, others have scratches, it's a mess.

Fortunately this go around I got abysmal grades on my entire Bulk submission so there's no need to re-holder any as I will just be selling these on PWCC, but going forward I'd like my slabs to be delivered in the pristine condition I'm accustomed to.

Thanks,

Do you have an image of the return?? The last (4/15/21) Bulk submission I got came in the long box with separated foam slits. Wondering what this new way you speak of is

:( I hope you call customer service and provide them pics of the damaged slabs. No one wants to get scratched and dinged up slabs back. I doubt posting on this forum will make any positive impact.

Just received a new Express Return, and all 13 slabs have the same scratches/marks/scuffs in the middle-center on the front of the slab case, just above the actual card.

Switching to this cheap and unprotective packaging was an egregious oversight. This is completely unacceptable for an almost $900 service.

STOP USING THIS PACKAGING IMMEDIATELY.

I had one of those flimsy pieces of cardboard lying around. I forgot it came from them. Yeah, those are pretty bad for keeping the cards separated and secure. Must be an issue with acquiring the foam.

No That submission was from December but I received it on 4/15. Just saying I got a return of a ton of cards recently and didn't get the type of package he got

This is what happens when quantity becomes more important than quality. CGC, please don't return my submissions with scuff marks on them from poor packaging. Offer an option, even at an additional cost to me, for better packaging at least. Thank you.

No please no additional cost O_O. They're already charging us handling fees.

We are looking into this. We did extensive ship-testing and the new boxes performed better than the old ones.

On the last sub I got back, it looks like a lot of the scratching is on the inside of the slab. Might not be the new packaging but the manufacturing? This isn't the best example, but the quickest one for me to grab atm. I can't feel it on the exterior surface. Some of them are way worse with a much larger markings. May not be related to the OPs issue but I've noticed it on a number of them.

Actually proving somewhat difficult to capture with a camera due to focus.IMG_20210711_125222__01.thumb.jpg.219f7dd08241a1cbca6381992a9914b7.jpgIMG_20210711_125212__01.thumb.jpg.e9952f72cc48f730943b57d0e762082f.jpgIMG_20210711_125320__01.thumb.jpg.ca7d596919e606931250c00767951ce8.jpg

This may have already been said, but would it be that costly for CGC to place the slabs in individual sleeves before putting them in the box? Sleeves are literally a penny each. Every single time, the slabs are covered in dust and brown particles from the box. It's very disappointing every single time I get a submission back that I have to clean the slabs with a micro-fiber cloth.

Just received a 50 card submission on Monday, 34 of the cards have some form of scuff/scratch. I spoke with Customer Service today and they advised to send photos which I did. This is the state of the packaging they used. Its no wonder more than half of the return is damaged in some way. Submission arrived to CGC back in Feb of this year.
