When do I need to move comics in to the magazine teir?

I'm currently getting ready to send in my first submission, I read that there are books that get graded as "magazines" due to the size of the book. Everything I'm sending in will be modern books but some are thicker square bound books. Venom #200 for example is thicker than a normal book. Do books like that need to be magazine tier or is the modern tier okay? They are the same height and width as stapled books only thicker.

Hi there, it really depends on the actual thickness. Our comic book holders will hold up to .25" in thickness and our magazine holder can encase .5". If for some reason a book is submitted as a comic book and needs to be moved to the magazine holder to fit, our comic team will notify you that it needs to jump to that tier. You can also find the dimensions that fit our holders here: https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/collectibles-we-grade/

Best,

Ashley
