Going to a signing for tony fleecs cgc will be there. How does the process work are there any fees upfront other than cost of signature or is the process the same as regular submissions ? Also do you have to have that window bag for in person signings ? Do they provide them if you don’t have any ? Even for a cost?

1.  There is a newbie thread stickied at the top of this subforum, there will be a lot of answers in that thread.

2.  CGC has a website and customer service associates with who will have OFFICIAL answers.  You can call/email them at your convenience.

3.  For an in-person signing, the process may differ depending on the venue of the signing, the signer(s), the store, the facilitator of the signing, etc.  For example, if you paid $500 for a VIP signing at Comic-con, the process will be probably be different than if you are signing at local comic book store in a suburb of Cleveland (no shots at Cleveland, underrated city).  So for the specifics, you may want to contact the facilitator of the signing (which might be CGC, or an authorized facilitator of CGC SS), or contact the venue for more details of the specific event.

         a.  But a common way the process would be is:  1.  Show up, go to the facilitator or CGC booth, get a CGC SS form.  2.  Fill out the form with your info and the info of your books.  3.  Go with the CGC witness (or perhaps there will be one waiting at the artist, confirm with CGC or the facilitator), get your book signed.  4.  Give your book and the CGC form and payment to CGC or the CGC facilitator.  5.  Go to Popeye's for a Spicy Chicken Sandwich.  6.  Go home and eat your sandwich while watching baseball or hockey (depending on the season).

4.  FEES - No matter what you'll have to pay CGC SS fees - submission fee, invoice fee, return shipping fee, insurance.  But here are the potential 'other' fees, probably different for each event or facilitator - facilitator fee (if any), artist/creator signing fee (if any), possible taxes depending on your venue or state, optional CGC fast track fee, optional CGC pressing fee (with separate invoice fee).

5.  I think generally the window bag is not required for in-person signings, but you should probably contact the facilitator about the rules for the specific event.  But they may have them for sale, or I think you can order them from CGC or other vendors.  Also, they're insanely easy to make yourself, just go watch a youtube video.

In summary, I'd check the noobie thread first, then the CGC website, then ask questions to the CGC SS facilitator.  If you can't find out who the facilitator is, contact CGC and ask them. Good luck.
