What is the best collected omnibus type series for the Alan Moore run?  I see the set on Amazon but don’t know if it’s what I should be going for.  Shamefully I have never read a Swamp Thing book!

My go-to set was published 10 or more years ago ... a series of trades that collected, IIRC, ten issues per volume. I'll see if I can get better specifics. GOD BLESS...

The best Swamp Thing collections in my opinion are the Absolute Editions which are over-sized.  Volumes 1 and 2 are available, but the 3rd and final one comes out later this year.  They reprint all the Alan Moore issues and the coloring looks better than any of the other previous collections.  I think you’ll enjoy the run.

While I would have loved to have gotten a HOS 92 back in the day, this great wraparound cover from 1977 was the one that I wound up noticing and grabbing off my LCS shelf on release.

That photo-cover is probably the image of Swamp Thing I remember best from my childhood.
