Now opening comic book vs Scheduled for Grading status 0

My comics were received by CGC on 8/12/21.  Your status page shows "Now opening comic book submissions delivered the week of August 23rd, 2021."

I would have thought the status would have changed from Scheduled for Grading to Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging but it has not.  Can you explain opening book submissions vs. the start of the grading process in your statuses?

Good morning,

The date listed on our website is the week of mail we are opening.  Once a package is opened, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will immediately go into the grading room.  The turnaround time will depend on the tier you selected.  Your invoice will go in line with the rest of the invoices in that tier and it will be taken into the grading room when the graders get to that day's mail for that particular tier.  For longer tiers, such as Modern and Economy, it will take longer to see that status change to grading than a shorter tier such as Standard or Express.

Hi-Will someone email me before my card gets charged and give me the date and amount? Even if it's a close estimate that would be helpful, for me, anyway. Thanks in advance.  Greg
