Guest
i also attached the area above the scarlet witched head in that thread. Here it is again
OldGuy
I can see all that on the original scan without blowing it up. Can't you guys see it in the original? The part over Scarlet Witch's head is the same.
FlyingDonut
Question: If I buy this book from you as a 9.8 UNRESTORED and send it to CGC and it comes back 9.8 RESTORED, will you buy it back?
Guest
it depends on your monitor settings. I can sort of see it without doing anything, but not really.
Kevin76
I am a Printer..im an Assistant Pressman for Quebecor World-RPC,the number there is 508-823-8331 located in Taunton, Mass. It's not the red plate moving during the printing process you idot,it wouldn't do that.None of the plates move by themselves.I am the one who does the register on the flyers we print.I am the one who moves all the colors together so you can read it,so yes it is a color touch, not the pressman's fault Mr Richard Koos RN
Kevin76
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS BOOK,IT'S RESTORED AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR GRADING FEE PLUS A BIG HEADACHE
OldGuy
I just looked at some other monitors around the office and compared to everyone else mine is very bright. I've always set my monitor this way so I guess I just never thought anything about it. I think if some of you guys increase the brightness on your monitors that you'll be able to see all of this in the original scan. Try it and let me know. Guest
Where are the doodles now??? Just posted a NEW scan of the book WITHOUT the scrawling doodles that my daughter had done in different colors (see other post in Comics: General). As you can now see, there WAS no touch-up, and no earthly reason for there to be. By blowing up that area where Shuley says it's IMPOSSIBLE for colors to be off-register (this is the first time I've ever heard THAT statement...should I start attatching dozens of comics that have color OUTSIDE of borderlines that others of the same copy DON'T?), you will see that at ANY brightness, the red area he is mistaking for touch-up is identical to the other reds on the color...an IMPOSSIBILITY unless it was printed that way. The red is OFF-REGISTER to the right and down on this book just as on the CGC 4.0 copy I called attention to, the red is shifted the OPPOSITE way and shows up on the opposite side of the black line borders intruding into the YELLOW areas!!!! NO such thing as off-register Shuley? Off-focus? Puh-LEESE!
Kevin76
Wel if you put on your color touching glasses, you will see that i didn't state that a book is impossible for the register to be out...it's impossible for the plates to move themselves..I am the one (or other assistant) who moves the register..why do you think they have assitants..they do the register,if the register never moved and alway stayed in perfect..i would be out of a job
Guest
Here it is. Where's the color touch?
Guest
Oh!! OK...so the register CAN be off on different colors in different directions on different copies of the SAME issue, just as it is OFF on the CGC 4.0 copy I gave the number for before? Darthdiesel
METHod Man, welcome back to the board after your long hiatus. You manage to come back in greatly heralded style as always! My wife and I are babysitting a three year old tonight. I think I'll break out the crayons and some old comics and let her go to town. Then I'll post them on eBay...as the Baby Girl Pedigree... To your credit, your daughter's got some skills! "I learned it from watching you, dad..." - remember this line from that 80's anti drug PSA... Guest
Shuley, what's an 'idot'? Some kind of assistant pressman's term??? Is that you're job, to dot the i's? And what's with this white Hewett person_without_enough_empathy you're obsessing over now? Is your love affair with the cosmetic surgery postergirl, Tera Patrick, over? Used to be a time when a seller couldn't offer one of her items without your crawling all over it. Amusing. I'd access your Bidder profile, and see 1 bid on some BS Modern book and 8 pages of bids on Tera Patrick items, from real life molded OFFICIAL Tera Patrick Vaginas to soiled G-strings and used tampons!!!! If interested, Tera Patrick frequents Le Trapeze (the Premier NYC on-premise swing club..for couples only) when in NY and is STONE COLD GAY!! She arrives with another woman (they make an exception for her, supposed to be couples/ 1 man and 1 woman), and only does women when there on "pleasure". Hey, comics can be a serious business!!! Kevin76
So I bought a tera patrick screen save once..Big deal? better than selling restored comics and saying they are unrestored right? Being an Assistant Pressman is a better job than a RN,at least i tell people im a 2nd pressman and not a pressman,i don't run the press, but then again, your not a surgeon but yet you tell people you are. supapimp
i wouldn't worry about it, your a red blooded hetrosexual man, you got testosterone running through your veins. i just like the fact that methuselah try's to change the subject or make somebody else the focal point(confusion). donut btw tera patrick is a porn star discovered here in the city.
