Mike Sass paints his original (digital) video game box art for BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic in oils! 1 1

I recently had the privilege of visiting Mike Sass up at his studio to pick up this recreation of his original cover art for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Mike was BioWare's head of promotional art for about a decade and worked on all of BioWare's games from the mid 1990s until the mid 2000s. His video game artwork was originally digital in nature, but he is also a very talented traditional painter. To render this large piece was a lot of work, but the final result is fabulous and he even managed to capture all the cool effects of the digital version. I'm thrilled to have this unique piece of game art in my collection!

Bioware has put out some wonderful games.  Balder's Gate was a great dungeon crawl.

Fantastic piece!  I don't really play video games anymore, but I did play this one back in the day.  Great game, and beautiful artwork.

Those pages are great! Love the ink wash style painting.
