Shilled. gossip.gif Anyone who pays $800 for that book needs to be put in the looney bin. You could get the entire HOM 174-321 run in VF for that kind of money. Seriously, that's one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. It's not even an Adams cover, so who cares if he signed it. screwy.gif

I was half joking, but weirder things have happened. confused-smiley-013.gif I have several examples of buyers purchasing their own books and trying to resell them a few months down the road for more.

Adams used to only sign on the first page if i remember correctly....is this a new thing?

 

Dunno...he signed the cover of a copy of Emergency for me a few years ago at Megacon.

Yeah, I'm thinking waaaayyy back in the 70's....my LCS owner was a Neal Adams junkie....owned every panel (not only issue, but every PANEL, advertisment etc...) the guy ever drew and he told me an authentic Neal Adams sig. was always on the bottom of the first page....guess times change....

It wouldn't be the first time.

Comiclink and Heritage books are sometimes bought by the sellers themselves at a much higher price than they paid for it to "set" the price of the book. However in this case I don't think it was the seller who bought this one.
