here's the first u.s. of a clockwork orange [#65].   uk first costs tons, so i settled.  very nice book, price-clipped jacket.   name on fep.  hard one to price; most for sale are book club editions, which don't have much collectible value.  how about $400?  SOLD!

hadn’t planned on offering this one—#1 on the r.h. “readers” list.  this is a favorite of mine, and like a comic i have upgraded it a few times over the years to this outstanding copy.  this almost 1,200 pg beast almost always splits a hinge on either the front or back, and I have a pic—it has no effect on the integrity of the book. gorgeous jacket with all 3 points for first state ($7.95, 10/57 and random house address).  just a killer copy.  I need 3k for it.

an aside:  just looking at the sig on the atlas shrugged fep, i realized it's either charles paddock or charles pollock.  the former, i remembered, was an american olympic sprinter [dennis christopher in chariots...].   i just saw that paddock was killed in action in wwII, so it wasn't his book.
