*ALMOST* impossible to sign on to the chat boards and it's driving me nuts! 9 9

Once I actually got to a sign-in screen where I could enter my info....it kept rejecting my email & password.  Entered my info a dozen times, checking the info more and more carefully each time. The system rejected the correct information several times before finally giving in & letting me back in.

Nowadays logging in boards feels like download illegal music and whatnot. From free comics to hot mills in my area... You find everything here.

I thought the site was down all day. My bookmarks - to Comics General, PGM, etc. kept giving me a Error 502 Bad Gateway. 

I just now decided to try the main website. Guess I'll need to delete those shortcuts.

Another hassle.

The good news is I'm staying logged in even when I close windows or go to another website. I don't have to go the incognito route to log in either.

I’m finally able to get logged in from my phone but it’s still broken on all browsers on my pc. Beyond annoying. Glad I’m not running a sale thread at the moment

When I finally logged in tonite successfully, I saw that I was someone else!  I was logged in as Spidey something.  I clicked on it and it booted me out.  Weird

CGC have changed the URL for the forum, Speedcake.

It used to be this:

https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/

And now it is this:

https://boards.cgccomics.com/

So if you have saved the site as a bookmark or link on any device, using the old URL, you will get this every time:

You will have to delete all saved links and bookmarks to the old site URL and replace them with the new one. I've had to do it on my desktop, mobile phone and tablet.

Bit of a pain, but if this update solves the 500 errors we'll be motoring.

I like to imagine CGC has a team of people that are responsible for coming up with terrible ideas. Somehow that seems better to me there pure incompetence. .

Since this is hosted on a linux based server, there is a .htaccess file that can manage large scale redirects painlessly.
