I had to turn off half way through ep 2 - not my thing.

It was like they were trying to pay homage to the 60's and 70's shows on TV.

Shaft, Persuaders, The Avengers (Steed etc) + 60's sci-fi shows etc 

Even the 'Time Tunnel' theme got a run out.

I don't think it knew what it wanted to be.

The anime is 10 times better.  Watched the first episode, and it was ok.  Felt like it was trying too hard to be cool.  While the original was just cool.

Glad you like it, but for me I guess as I saw the original shows, it came across as a poor parody.

 

Different shows for different folks - you like it, so enjoy!
