It occurs to me that there are many in the Silver Age who dwell behind an iron mask, heroes and villains, from a few different genres. I thought it'd be cool to have a place to post those books.

His first appearance is, of course, in Fantastic Four #5 (I don't currently have one) and he seems to have tied with another as the first "IRON MASK" in Marvel Silver Age. DOCTOR DOOM!!!!

Debuting in a tie (same month & year) with DOCTOR DOOM is this fellow. Looks very DOOM-like as well.

One of my personal favorites, "IRON MAN!' Deliberately left off the right side quotation mark, to match my copy!

And yet another "IRON MASK" although not his first appearance (I believe that was Kid Colt Outlaw #110), as I think this was his second appearance.

Another villain was bound to show up under an iron mask and this one was bent on menacing a new armored IRON MAN ..... Introducing: The Titanium Man! His first appearance was in TOS #69.

I don't collect DC Silver Age, but I'd imagine there were SOME characters behind an iron mask. Doctor Fate seems like he'd be one of them I guess. Perhaps somebody in "Metal Men" maybe? I dunno, but there probably are.
