This is the best show I have been to in a while. Amazing selection of books.

But it is very poorly attended. No one is here.  I've heard lots of dealers grumbling about it and cutting deals on books.

thats a bummer. shows like this with great dealers and great books are not going to continue to have them if no one comes. being on the other coast, i wish i could have made it. pics of the books look fantastic.

I attended the show on Sunday and I was impressed by the selection of comics and the amount of comic dealers, but I was surprised by the low attendance. I figured that Sunday was a low attendance day, but I was told that thousands of people were refused entry into the show on Saturday and Sunday.

If you were shopping for comics, this show was awesome.

Not surprised the comic selection and pricing was great as Heroes always impressed me, I am a little surprised about lack of attendance. If it was prior to Football season I would have certainly went but everything moving into the fall changes my availability. Hopefully as the conventions pick up next year and beyond they can shift back into Spring or Summer. Baltimore is now competing with the Cocktail party next year so I will be in Jacksonville that weekend.

Was it really thousands though? I was in and out of the convention center on Saturday.  Got there at 10, left at 11:30, back in at 12, left again at 2, back at 3.  I only saw one person getting turned away.  I went to Heroes Aren't Hard to Find to get my tickets Friday night, and over heard 1,300 tickets were sold.

Here was a pic I took at 11:00ish on Saturday

I wasn't there on Saturday, but I was told that a lot of people were refused entry into the show.  I was told that it was in the thousands. When I walked into the convention hall, a couple of the dealers that were there on Saturday , left and there tables were empty on Sunday.  I believe that 1 or 2 comic dealers during the beginning of the Sunday show, left early.

That being said, it was still a good show if you were looking for great comics.

Seeing these at the show was something I didn’t expect. It was my 1st time seeing an actual TEC #27 in person. What makes that particular copy special is that it’s Bob Kane’s file copy, which means he personally owned it.

I thought the Whiz Comics #1 was cool. It’s an underrated book in my opinion.
