Pencil mark or tear? 0

I cant really tell what this defect is, even up close. There's no mention of anything having to do with the back cover on the grader's notes. Doesn't seem like a defect that would happen post grade if it is either one of those.

Don’t think it’s a tear. Most likely dirt or ink smudge. My guess would be dirt.

That "dirt" was on back of a raw book I sent in which received a 9.8. Rest of book pretty much flawless. Glad comics are not graded like stupid trading cards! Although since beginning of 2021 PSA card grading has more to do with whom submits as well maintaining quota percentages based on census rather than on the condition of the card itself...
