Such a beater but got it in a collection many years ago. Thought about dumping it several times but such a classic and hasn’t been posted yet.

I found someone here on the boards selling a copy (not this one) and they said Jim Steranko did the cover?

Steranko is a huge fan of the Shadow and drew covers 20+ paperback covers.  He was friends with Walter Gibson, the original pulp writer, and Orson Welles, who adapted it for radio.  There is a picture of the three of them together at The Magic Castle in LA. 

Steranko started out as a magician and escape artist.  Gibson was familiar with the magic world, even ghosting articles for Harry Houdini in Weird Tales in the 20s, and infused elements of stage magic in the Shadow tales.

Many of those Powell Shadow covers are terrific and kind of underrated. This is one of the best.

V7 #6 was a purchase from Metro a few years ago, and they really screwed up...they Under-graded the book...:)
