Hello! I would like some opinions on the grade of this copy of ASM 252, both before and after a press. Also wondering if it would be better to leave the little nub on the bottom right corner or just rip it off, thank you guys so much! This will be my first submission to CGC!

Slight blunting of corners and that annoying nub...9.4. Do not remove nub.

Pretty high grade already. Not sure press would do anything.

Nice book for sure, but it looks like there's a a soft dent in the upper right corner and a few corner bumps. (When possible, high-res scans are much more representative than phone pics.) I'd guess 8.5/9.0 range to be safe, with a press possibly bumping it a little higher.

9.2-9.4 after press. Leave the nub. Get a press as there is a slight curl to the book down the spine and a press with leave this baby flatter a Saskatchewan flapjack

9.0 possible 9.2  if the non color breaking bend in upper right presses out.  Press wont help of course where color is lost.  Not sure why exactly but from my personal experience CGC seems to be very harsh grading this particular ASM issue.

I'd say the book is in the 8.0/8.5 as is, 9.0 after C&P range.

I'm lower than consensus.  It could just be my eyes or the pictures but I think I see damage to the front top right and bottom right corners and bindery damage on the left front top and bottom.  Also a vertical line near the spine from storage that should press out.  8.0 to 8.5 for me.

All good thoughts.  Also, to the OP, since you mentioned it's your first submission... if you are slabbing the book strictly to sell it, it's maybe worth considering if it's worth $100-150 (plus months of your time) to press and submit it *at all* vs. just selling it raw, since GPA on CGC 9.4s right now is around $300 and change. If you are slabbing for other reasons then no worries.
