I'm surprised there hasn't been more posts as well. I personally really like the Bronze-age Detective's and I thought several people collected them. I suppose there could be some replication from the Neal Adams thread, but there were other artists who had some good contributions in the Detective series like Kaluta, Giordano, and even Wrightson, among others.

Exactly what I was thinking. Kaluta especially did some great covers for Detective in the BA.

Here are a few I had scanned from recent sales on eBay, trying to pick some not already posted above:

#395 the book that kicked off the Bronze Age Batman.  First Denny O'Neil / Neal Adams collaboration, prior to GL #76

#396 Adams cover only

#397 the second O'Neil/Adams Batman story. Homage to Orson Welles' Citizen Kane.

#403 Gothic themes were big in 1970!

#421 Adams cover, interior story written & drawn by Frank Robbins.  I actually liked Robbins' Batman artwork, it was suitably pulp noir-ish, kind of a Golden Age throwback.

#430 I think this may be Jim Aparo's first Batman related cover outside of Brave & Bold

#437 Beginning of Archie Goodwin's brief editorial run on Detective.  Batman cover & interior art by Aparo.  First Manhunter by a young Walt Simonson.

 

#450 Simonson's second Batman story (after #443 posted earlier in the thread).  Giordano cover.

#457 "No Hope in Crime Alley" classic retelling of Batman's origin.  Giordano cover & interior art.

#466 First Marshall Rogers artwork in Detective (here on the Green Arrow backup story)

#469 Steve Englehart's classic scripting run begins.  Aparo cover. Interior artwork by Simonson & Milgrom.

#481 Detective merges with Batman Family.  Jim Starlin cover (except for bottom 1/5 by Marshall Rogers). Last Marshall Rogers Batman story for a while.

#483 Early Don Newton artwork on Batman.  Sequel to #457.  First appearance Maxie Zeus.

#500 Anniversary issue.  Alan Brennert's first Batman story.  Lots of good interior work by Giordano, Simonson, Kubert, Aparo, Infantino, etc.
