I like to sell books that are in others peoples' possession.

Who wouldn't? :yeehaw:

Without disclosure, it may be difficult to determine.  I will say there don't seem to be a lot of instances where someone doesn't get (or there are significant delays in getting) books they've bought on the Boards.

As noted above, this thread is a direct reaction to very recent postings in the Sales threads that did NOT include disclosure until posters dragged it out of the OP.

To be honest, who would buy any of those over-priced, over-graded books regardless of whether the seller had them in their possession?

Another reason for banning the sale of consigned books not in the seller's possession is how often those consigned books end up on eBay or instagram or facebook at the same time.

Heaven forbid.

But as others have said, all of the concerns I have raised regarding a seller selling books not in their possession are resolved based on the current rules. If the seller doesn't fulfill their end of the bargain, for whatever reason, they can be held accountable through the PL and HOS.

But this has been an interesting discussion. (thumbsu

Seller just need to disclose up front they are over priced and/or over graded.

Coming soon:  CGC Black Label.  Over-Graded Designation.  For $5.00 you can call and get the correct grade.

There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about this.  Is a Poll needed?

No. We don't need more rules, especially for very limited problems.
