Sort of comic book related. The top is my original Red Ryder BB gun from when I was a kid. My model was made in 1947 I believe.

I watch a Christmas Story every year with my kid so this year he got his first BB gun… the newer   “official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time.”

He is really excited.

Don't shoot your eye out

I would have killed for one when I was a kid. You guys must have been rich to afford one in 1947.

Lol, the gun was made in 1947, I didn’t get it  until the 80’s and it was old then.  Im only in my 40s! I think my Dad picked it up in a flea market for me for like $20.

I found this a long time ago.  I forget if I found this while doing a summer job tearing down and rebuilding walls at a school or we found it in a pile of stuff being donated.  Either way I am pretty sure I have had this since the mid 90's.

Says Red Ryder 1938.  I believe it is the medallion that would have been placed on the side of the rifle as the flip side seems to have grooves and glue residue..   I've held onto it since it seemed pretty cool.   It is a little bigger than the size of a silver dollar.   If anyone could tell me anything about it...

Looks like the Medallion they put on the stock of the 1938 Red Ryder rifle and the 1988 50th Anniversary edition. Im guessing yours would be the 1938 one.

I appreciate the offer, but I would rather keep them.  They are kind of cool to have.  I am getting to the point where I want to take inventory of things that are left and further reassess what I am doing with the remainder but I kind of like the old coins.  These were my dad's, (who is still alive) but he acquired them as a kid and while he still has many more gave me a few to hold on to.

That Gorosaurus is awesome!

And brand new! Bandai conducted a poll to decide on which figures to revive, and Gorosaurus was among the winners. (Along with Megalon and Jet, Jaguar.) This was great news since the original '90s Gorosaurus goes for more than $100 these days. He's part of the 6" series figures which is great for interacting with the current 6" line, but he's a bit smaller than the '90s 8" series King Kong.

Thank you; I can hunt one down for my desk! Smaller than my Godzilla and Fin Fang Foom but too cool NOT to be there with them (thumbsu
