You mean like 1950's war comics? So many comics based on the same 4 stories. Ugh that is every bit as drekky as the worst modern.

i will admit most of the stories are not that great , neither were the stories in Batman or Superman all that great in the 50's either

but the covers were great !!  50's romance comics had great covers too

There were some terrific romance covers from that period. That's an area I'd love to start collecting someday.
