How often to change full backs 1 1

Anyone got an answer on how often we should change E Gerber Full Back backing boards.

You don't need to. Unless they're damaged by terrible storage conditions, in which case it's the storage conditions that you should be changing.

If they are acid free, I think you don't need to ever change them

I change the  board and the bag whenever I sell an expensive book. Otherwise, they are one and done. I just think someone buying a $500 book deserves a fresh mylar and a new board. I reuse the old stuff on the next book I have.

Nothing better than fresh mylar  I agree, hate to see expensive books arrive with three layers of old tape stuck to the bag.

I made the investment on my raws for 4mil mylar and acid free backboards with the understanding would never/a very very long time need to change out. Also wanted nice uniformity on the shelf. When I do sell something, it is nicely presented.
